Young Master Club

Taekwondo and yoga training for children, adolescents, and families of all abilities.

Serving families since 2005, The Young Master Club teaches each participant and family to apply life skills practiced in the Qi Creative Dojang to the classroom, playground, work place, and home. Courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit – these are the tenets of Taekwondo.

Success does not come from kicks, blocks, strikes or patterns alone, but rather from family participation, personal growth, and each person’s commitment to being their best each week.

When I arrive at Taekwondo, I leave the stresses of school behind me. To me, being a leader is a part of my life now, and every time I think of the kids and help out, it makes me feel good!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Attendance is taken at each class. There is no fine for absences, however repeated absences may affect your performance throughout the rest of the season. Weekly sessions build upon learned techniques and movements.

  • Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate with their child, and you are also encouraged to wear a Uniform.

  • Participants are supported by Master Jon Jon Rivero, and volunteer instructors who have been trained in the months leading to the Young Master Club season. Parents and caregivers are also encouraged to join.

Group B is Central (Alberta Avenue Community League), for All Ages and Experienced students.

“Experienced” means you have previous experience in Taekwondo and are higher than a total beginner (White belt)

  • Like any sport or athletic activity, injuries are possible. Young Master Club students work alongside Group Leaders and experienced volunteers to teach proper techniques and minimize the chances of injury.

  • Uniforms are $60. You can buy your Taekwondo uniform through us when registering. Uniforms are measured by height in centimeters and do not follow standard fitting sizes. Uniforms come with a top and pant. You may measure your child’s height at home to assess the right size.
